Mishap is a bean who keeps a rattlesnake as a pet and gets his left eye bitten by it.
About[]
Mishap decided to keep a rattlesnake as a pet. It was never going to be an easy relationship. The game of fetch never really caught on. And neither did the afternoon hose bath. It all came to a head when Mishap offered his rattlesnake mustard on a hot dog. Everyone knows snakes only like onions. It ended in tears.

Mishap is a dull green bean with a capsule body. From his perspective, he has an orange rattlesnake clinging onto his left eye.
He and the rattlesnake looked more brownish in the promo poster.
In his newer appearances, he may be seen with a lime-colored body instead of dull green.

Mishap is seen holding a hot dog, which he is showing to the rattlesnake. It then latches on his eye, killing him and causing him to fall backwards.

Trump Ways to Die[]
Trump builds a wall that excludes Mexican people. The wall falls to reveal a wall that excludes Trumps, making Trump fold his arms. After the wall excluding Trumps falls over and kills him, Mishap comes running with the flag and sticks it on Trump's head, causing his eye to pop out. In the chorus, Mishap is a Standard Dancer, as opposed to the Dumb Ways to Die music video where Mishap was a Secondary Dancer.
Dumb Ways to Die 3: World Tour/Promotion[]
In the video, Mishap is seen hammering a sphinx's nose and the rattlesnake come to him and latches into his eye, causing him to fall to the ground and got crushed by a sphinx's nose.
Happy Fourth of July[]
Mishap is wearing an American hat and start to light the firework with a match and the firework bursts his face revealing his skull.

Dumb Ways to Die (application)[]
Mishap can be unlocked for the player's Train Station at the score 1000 in the old version and at the total score of 204800 in the new version. In both versions, he is the 6th character to arrive at the train station, and in the new version, he is the 30th thing that can be unlocked.

In the game, Mishap is seen holding a hotdog where the player has to squirt the mustard on. If the player wins, his rattlesnake will eat the hotdog, and he will pat its head. If the player fails, the rattlesnake will latch onto his eye. Unlike the video, Mishap will not fall backwards.
- Snake Snack

As part of the update, he has a new game. The player has to spread butter on a pan. If the pan is successfully covered, a piece of bacon will be placed onto the pan, and Mishap will give it to the snake, who eats it, making him pat its head again. If this is not done successfully, he will hesitate a bit because he has an empty pan without bacon. He then offers the snake the empty pan, but it latches onto Mishap's eye again.
- Death is like a box of chocolates

He has a Valentines' Day mini-game whereas the player has to put the chocolates in a heart-shaped box. If all the chocolates are placed in their designated areas, it is given to the snake by Mishap to eat, resulting in him patting the snake's head resulting in the minigame being won. Otherwise, Mishap will place the lid on the box incorrectly and the snake will latch onto his eye once again.
- Dumb Dunk

Another version is used for Christmas. He needs to dunk cookies into milk and place them on the other plate. If he doesn't dunk all the cookies on time or put them on the wrong plate or does nothing at all, his Snake with a Christmas cap will latch onto his eye again. If he wins, Mishap will give the plate of cookies to The Snake who eats it. After he pats the snake's head, it spits out the plate onto his hand.

Mishap has a Halloween-themed minigame. The player has to choose the path with a trail of candies. Winning will make him going trick or treating near a house to get candies with Munchies. Failing will make Clod go near him and kill him offscreen.

- Make It Home
Alien Mishap is riding a rocket to go to Saturn. The player has to trace the stars so that he can make it to Saturn. If so, Saturn will explode. Otherwise, aliens on a rocket will run over his head with a rocket, failing the minigame.
- Ride the Dragon
Mishap is seen riding on a dragon. The player has to tilt their device. If so, the dragon will cook the turkey into golden brown. Otherwise, the spear will kill the dragon's neck, failing the minigame.
Dumb Ways to Die 3: World Tour[]
Mishap is a Rare bean in Dumb Ways to Die 3: World Tour. His ability is Frenemy which collects tokens in close proximity.
Dumb Ways to Draw[]
In the game, Mishap is seen in some levels. He is seen at the start of Season 3 where the player has to guide him to the hotdog and avoid obstacles like glass, firework and more. If he touches the glass, he will fall into it and will get stabbed by it. If he touches the firework, his face will get blown up, revealing his skull. Guiding him to the hotdog will make him attempting to eat the hotdog, but the rattlesnake bites it. He can be also seen as an app icon, loading screen of the game and more.
