Poke a stick at a grizzly bear is the second line of the first verse in the song.
Characterization[]

In the chorus.
This verse is characterized by a yellow, oval-shaped bean whose head gets eaten off by a grizzly bear named "Hapless". A fountain of blood squirts out of his spine.
Video[]
Hapless is seen (with his head) holding a stick and poking a grizzly bear which is mostly out of sight, then the grizzly bear bends down to show his head and eats Hapless' head.
During the choruses, he is a Standard Dancer.
Game[]
Duck Duck Bear[]
The player must tap when the bear icon is on the yellow highlighted zone. If you're too early, too late or if you don't do anything, the bear will bite Hapless's head off. If you win, the bear will spit candy out.
Tip Toe Tap[]
There is another minigame where you have to help Hapless pass a sleeping bear without waking him up. Tap one second at a time so that Hapless tiptoes pass the bear. If you tap too fast, too slow, or not at all, then the bear will wake up and eat Hapless' head off, resulting in failure. If you successfully make Hapless to the end then Hapless will make it to the ice cream machine where he gets an ice cream cone. He will wink at you, similar to Calamity.
Candy Catch[]
He later got his third minigame from the Halloween update. The player must drag their fingers to get the candies to the pumpkin basket. If you miss, the bear will punish Hapless for not giving it candy to share by eating his head off again, resulting in failure. If you catch all of the candies, Hapless and the bear will eat the candy.
Huge Missed Steak[]
Hapless has an animal-themed minigame where the player has to swipe forward/diagonally in order to fling steak to the bears with open mouths. If all the bears are fed correctly, then Hapless will tip toe up to one of them and he will be rewarded candy. If the steak is fed to the incorrect bear, the steak lands on Hapless after he throws it and a bear walks up to him and eats his head off again, resulting in failure.
Mistake Mountain[]
Hapless has yet another mini-game, this time, he must climb up a mountain. If you win, Hapless places a flag on the mountain that features the Dumb Ways To Die 2 Beans. If you don't climb the mountain, Hapless will be stalked by a grizzly bear.
Sneak 'n' Snack[]
Hapless has an Easter-themed minigame which is similar to his second one, the player has to tap to make Clod tip toe to the window. If so, Hapless will wake up and see some melted eggs. Otherwise, he will notice that Clod is stealing eggs and leaves the place, breaking the window bloodily, resulting in failure.
